Ok Guys. Got the 1st Pick in a 10 team league, but this league is a little different with 6pt for TD passes instead of usual 4pts...Does that mean Manning?
Also pts are as follows= 1 pt per reception(LT?), 1pt=10yds rec and rush (pretty normal) 1pt= 40yds passing
FWIW, the yards per passing sort of balances out the extra points for TD's. In a lot of leagues , you see the 1pt=10 yards run/rec and 1pt=20 yards passing, and not the 1pt=40 yards, so there's that to consider.
Also, I never like to take a QB in the 1st round. The value that you pass up at RB is extremely difficult to make up later. In other words, the dropoff at RB is steeper that the dropoff at QB. I would rather have LT and the #6 or #7 QB off the board than Manning and someone who would go #18 overall, and the #13-#16 RB off the board, like a Julius Jones, Rudi Johnson, Tatum Bell or Lamont Jordan. Also, the year after Marino threw 48 TD's, he threw 30. I would be stunned if Manning throws up another 40+ TD season. The league had a whole offseason to see how New England clamps down on that Indy offense, and the NFL is nothing if not a copycat league.
